OUR FAVOURITE OUTDOOR FUN LOCATIONS
Posted: December 2022
Outdoor pubs and bars
There are some amazing pubs and bars around the UK that have stunning outdoor spaces. From London’s Bar Elba’s new bottomless rooftop cinema to Birmingham’s Sky by the water (not so) secret garden.
But let’s talk about the Lawn Club in Manchester’s Spinningfields. The pop-up venue can be found on the sunny lawns in Hardman Square with deck chairs scattered around the lawn and boasting an unrivalled spot to soak up the good weather whilst sipping on cocktails and frosty craft beers. But! The main talking point at The Lawn Club is their Lawn Pods and Lawn Houses. Quaint, private spaces for groups of up to 6 to enjoy a few drinks in their own area with table service throughout.
Outdoor restaurants and terraces
From Manchester’s 20 Stories to Leeds Issho, there are plenty of options for delicious culinary experiences while dining alfresco on a terrace, roof top or by the river.
But one that still excites us, is Coppa Club – Tower Bridge. Boasting one of the biggest riverside terraces in London (now extended!), plus its famous igloos, Coppa Club occupies a prime spot with Tower Bridge in near-sight and The Shard just opposite. You really could not ask for more as a post-lockdown treat.
Drive in’s
Following a long winter cooped up inside, there are a host of drive ins kicking off in April, from drive in movies at castles, estates and racecourses, stand up comedy and even a tribute to West End theatre in London.
But, The Parking Lot Social tour, has it all. All from the comfort of your car, you will be entertained by DJs, party bingo, car-a-oke, silent discos and interactive quizzes, as well as an array of movies – from blockbusters to cult classics that will recreate the classic drive-in experience. With tour location including Cheltenham racecourse and Bristol Airport, you can find a date near you for the best in social distance fun.
Theme Parks and Zoos
The nations’ favourite theme parks and zoos serving up thrilling days out for kids and grownups alike such as Alton Towers and Chester Zoo will all be back this Easter, but one particular attraction has had their initial launch of their brand new site in Cheshire postponed for a whole year. Now BeWilderwood Cheshire will be having their grand opening on 12 April. Based on the magical and enchanting books by author and creator Tom Blofeld, a day at BeWILDerwood means endless hours exploring the wonky world of treehouses, whizzing down super slides, swinging on giant swings and zipping along extra-long zip wires and much more. Let your imagination go wild in BeWilderwood.
Why not check out one of these great post lockdown activities with your newfound freedom, or use one of these as a get prize to incentivise your audience.
